The King of Fruits – Durian

Durian – the “King of the Fruits”, a label that can be attributed to its formidable look and infamous for its distinctive fragrance. It is a tropical fruit native to Southeast Asia.
Deriving its name from an Indonesian word meaning “thorny”, it resembles an unripe coconut with spines covering its thick, green rind.
The flesh of this fruit is sweet and so delicious that some describe eating a perfect durian to be “a delectable treat of rich custard, highly flavoured with almonds”.
